I've spent the past few days turning an old corncrib on our property into a proper studio. It's been in process for some time now, but I am finally doing the vital finishing-off work. It's vital to have a space in which several people can work at once at all hours of the day or night.
I'll post some pictures soon. It's a bloody mess just now and I am dog-tired.
Here's the next part of last year's silent trucks animatic. It is, as I say, a creepy story.

Here's a small movie clip from an animatic that didn't really have enough of a story for me to flesh it out. Lesson learned, I guess, but it was still a lot of work. There are some swell drawings, though, so I may do something with it yet. I am frying other fishies right now, but you never know.

This is a project that I worked on last year for an animation class taught by Rose Bond of PNCA.
The finished film was called Two Story House and featured seven different short animations. They were done in an amazingly short time... my project went from storyboard to "finished" in twelve days. I used Toonboom to do it, and while I am heartily dissatisfied with the animation, the overall effect is pretty cool. I'd like to go back and animate it better, but I don't really care all that much for the story.
Here are a few stills from my current project Clench Goes to the Dentist , a six-minute comedy featuring the immortal Clench and Cheese. Or should I say immoral? Anyway, these drawings are from the animatic and were created with Bauhaus Mirage , probably the coolest 2D software out there today. Toonboom is a close second, but it's vector.( I'll give a rundown of my opinion of vector vs bitmap applications at a later date.) The style of the backgrounds is super-saturated and gritty, and the characters reflect this somewhat.
